My passion for writing began in childhood and continues to this day. I've earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English and am currently earning my MFA. My fictional writing specialties are in the Speculative Fiction (magical realism and light science fiction) and realistic fiction genres. I also enjoy writing non-fiction, which includes articles, newsletters, handbooks, training materials, and instructional/technical writing.

I am based in the warm weather of the Southwestern United States where I enjoy spending time with my loved ones. Along with writing, I hold a special place in my heart for music, animals, nature, learning, community, the sound of keyboards and typewriters clacking, and the Oxford comma.
